The telethon programme of the Saudi television has collected 120 million riyals so far from the Saudi people for the help of October 8 earthquake victims in Azad Kashmir and NWFP.

It is learnt that the Saudi people and the Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia have shown extraordinary interest in supporting the earth quake victims and are contributing generously.

A Saudi Arab delegation led by Saleh al-Tuajri, head of the Saudi Red Crescent, currently in Islamabad said that two aircraft loaded with relief goods were daily landing in Pakistan to help their brothers in distress. Saudi Arab has since set up a fifty-bed hospital in Mansehra and has committed to provide more than 500 million riyals for the relief and rehabilitation of the affected people.
